Should homosexuality between consenting adults, in the privacy of their homes, be legalized in SVG?

Fri Sep 27, 2013

Jenny Duncan – No please. I don’t think that is right, especially in St Vincent, because I have three boys and that’s not right at all.

Eldon Duncan
– I don’t think so. I don’t think it’s right in the sight of God, according to the Bible, so I don’t think it’s right.

Alice A Francois (online): Persons should be free to do what they want in the privacy of their homes.

Joseph Griffith – I don’t think so. It’s a bad thing to do because homosexuality, I don’t feel it’s right. The Bible tells you so. Especially if you have children in your home, that’s very bad.

Vonnetta Morgan (online): I would like to know how many years are they giving child rapists? I can bet their sentence is not as strict. What two consenting adults do in the privacy of their home is nobody’s business. This law forces a lot of people to be on the down-low which creates more problems. Who are we to judge?

Aloma Burke – It shouldn’t be legalized because, you see, homosexuals cause a lot of disease too. That is not right. Plenty disease and remember because of that, homosexuals and what’s not, Christ destroyed a city because of that. So, that ain’t good.

Eduardo Portillo (online): Anyone know how many people have been convicted in St Vincent for homosexuality? Right now, there is someone in jail for that? Who is the victim in this type of trial?

Dirrione Bess (no photo) – My opinion is that they don’t need to legalize it, but if you are a homosexual…you keep that in your home. That’s supposed to be your personal business. Not on the streets. I don’t think it should be legalized, but if they want to do it in their own home, that’s their personal life. If they’re doing it in town, they doing it at their own risk, because legalizing it is just going to make the country worse, getting a whole load of stigma and bad name.
