On June, 4th 2009, at the three hundred and fifth-eight Harvard University commencement, Amber Jamilla Saunders Musser received her Ph.D .

She is the great grand- daughter of Joseph and Edith Alves, formerly of Union Island, and the grand- daughter of Thomas and Theo Saunders formerly of Cane Garden. Her proud parents are John and Camille Musser of Cambridge, Massachusetts. She is also the god daughter of Justice Adrian Saunders.

Dr. Amber Musser has accepted a position at New York University as assistant professor and faculty fellow starting in September.
