Tis the season for sales and promotions. We are being surrounded by multiple Christmas advertising messages. So how do you stand out? Check out these tips:

Deck your social media pages and websites – Take a page out of what you do at home at Christmas. You pull out your Christmas trees and lights, as well as other decorations. Why not do the same for your social media pages and website – the goal is to make it feel festive and get readers to stop and pay attention!

Reinvent Christmas for your target audience – You must have Christmas family traditions. How about creating a tradition within your business and sharing it online. Employee Christmas stories? Get your business involved in the content creation process!

Give customers more reasons to stop by – When we were kids, we heard a lot about Santa coming down the chimney; how many times we have seen kids with Santa taking photos in stores! Put a spin on Santa photos and instead give customers a reason to stop and take photographs at your business. Just put up a fun background to attract the public and be sure to include your branding!

Spotlight – Give your customers and staff their 15 mins of fame! Have you thought about a calendar featuring your customers? How about highlighting a different staff member every day online – the idea is to celebrate the people who ake your business successful – your customers and your staff!

Don’t ignore previous purchasers – These days it’s all about personalization. If you are like me and love to shop online, you would notice several personalized offers. If you shop on Amazon, you must have noticed the ‘Today’s recommendations for you’ section. No, you’re not Amazon, but that doesn’t mean your business can’t track what customers purchased in the past and use that information to determine what other items may be of interest to them, therefore making a customized email or offer a reality!
