Police conduct another operation in Paul’s Avenue (+video)

One week after a police operation was conducted in Paul’s Avenue, law enforcement returned to the area for another raid.

Around 11 am on Thursday November 17, members of the Special Services Unit (SSU), Rapid Response Unit (RRU),  Special Patrol Unit (SP), and the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) set up a cordone along a number of streets.

Officers were seen searching buildings while other officers diverted traffic away from the area.

SEARCHLIGHT was informed by a resident that police were searching for a male from the area.

During the last police operation, conducted on Thursday, November 10, 2022 police discovered firearm and drugs, which led to the arrest of 62-year-old shopkeeper, Cameron Providence.

A release from the RSVGPF said the operation “targeted the trafficking of illicit drugs, firearms, ammunition, and other forms of illegal activity. ”

Providence appeared in the Serious Offences Court on Tuesday for sentencing.
