Dr Ralph Gonsalves awarded honorary doctorate by the University of Wales Trinity St David (+video)

Dr Ralph Gonsalves, the Prime Minister of St Vincent and the Grenadines has been awarded an honorary Doctor of Law degree by the University of Wales Trinity St David (UWTSD).

The award was conferred upon Gonsalves today, September 27, during an official visit to the University “in recognition of his notable leadership and contribution as Prime Minister of St Vincent and the Grenadines”.

The Prime Minister is on an official visit to the University where 40 Vincentian students are pursuing three-year undergraduate studies in a range of subject areas.

Fifteen additional scholarships have been awarded by the University for postgraduate degrees which are being delivered fully online.

The scholarships, which have a value of about £4.5 million were awarded in 2021 through the instrumentality of King Charles III, Medwin Hughes, the Vice Chancellor; and the UWTSD in the wake of the eruption of La Soufriere.
