Shaunelle McKenzie withdraws from Calypso Finals

The Carnival Development Corporation has announced that Shaunelle Mc Kenzie has withdrawn from the Calypso finals for personal reasons.

Cleopatra Hendrickson, one of the reserves will replace Shaunelle in the finals, the CDC said in a release.

The other finalists are Shernelle âSkarpyonâ Williams, Roberts âPatchesâ King, Lornette âFyah Empressâ Nedd, Glenroy âSulleâ Caesar, Joanna Christopher, Shena Collis, Glenford âAzarahâ Charles, Cecile âLil Bitâ Murray and Kenneth âVibrating Scakesâ Alleyne.

The reigning monarch is Zamfir âMan Zangieâ Adams who will attempt to win his fourth consecutive national calypso crown.

The Calypso finals will take place at the Victoria Park on Sunday, July 9.
