Calm-Allah Tell Dem ‘DO WAY DEY LIKE’

Calm-Allah Tell Dem ‘DO WAY DEY LIKE’

ONE AH MY most memorable messages in church was from de late, Major Louvine, a very noble, female Salvation Army Officer who served here in de 1970’s. SVG was blessed back den in having two female Commanding Officers, Major Louvine, and de ever pop-yuh- law, Brigadier Clementina Leopold, ah household name, who was awarded an OBE in SVG during her tenure. But for now ley me deal wid Major Louvine’s message. She had lost her sight on her journey to Calvary, but certainly not her Spiritual Vision. However she spoke of a very poor Ole Lady who was hungry and had absolutely nothing to cook or eat dat morning. So she sat by her gate praying loud enough foh anyone passing could hear. Wid her eyes closed, de ole lady begged de Lord to send her something to eat, quoting de exact words from de “ Our Lord’s Prayer” she said : “ Give us dis day Oh Lord, our daily Bread…” Suddenly out ah no-where she received ah blow in her face, was like ah rude awakening. She opened her eyes quickly enough, to see ah lickle boy wid ah bread basket, dashing away from de scene, like U-see-him-bolt.

“You lickle D’evil!” de ole lady shouted angrily: ”if I only catch you dis morning, you will regret!”

But den as she looked on de ground she saw ah loaf-ah-bread. She quickly picked up de bread, look towards de sky and said: “ Thank you Lord foh dis loaf-ahbread, de D’evil delivered it but I know it is you who sent it!”

So ah asked my Grampa Nathan to explain to me what does ah simple prayer, from ah starving ole lady while asking de merciful Lord foh bread, got struck in her face wid ah bread delivered by ah ain-nosaint lickle boy whom she describes as ah D’evil, but never-the-less gave God thanks and praise? And good ole Grampa Nathan instructed me to go and listen again and again to de “mind-straightening” ah-dress dat T’n’T Prime Minister, Calm-Allah Best-ah-saw, delivered at dis week’s Carry Come 50th Meeting. She was forthright, intimating dat on one hand de poor and down-trodden masses of de region, daily praying to de Lord foh Mercy, and to mek de Region ah Zone of Peace, while on de other hand ah few D’evil- minded dictators, trying to undermine de Will of God for His people. Calm-Allah questioned de Carry-Come call foh ah Zone of Peace, while in bed wid ah Narco-Dictator accused of having imprisoned and killed thousands of civilians and awe-position supporters, also ah series way over three hundred thousand opposition supports who were released dey were in prison over politics, in Venezuela. Calm-Allah reminded Carry-Come leaders how President Mad-aura had his troops lined ready to tek away 60, 000 sq mile of Guyana’s territory, dat was awarded to Guyana in ah court dispute recently.

Calm-Allah insists dat she will lime wid Trump, but Grampa Nathan says “Trump too is ah Mad-Aura dat will soon come to past!

On ah more serious note Grampa Nathan told me to compare de pull-it- tek-ill demise of de former leaders of SVG and Venezuela with dat of de downfall of King Belshazzar’s fear-most “writing on the wall”; both were liquidated within six weeks of each other, November 27th, 2025 and January 6th 2026. It was no ordinary defeat at de polls, it was ah Spiritual Flogging, and ah must check out how anytime Minister Seeing Clear speaks about D’evil or his Imps has arrived, ah certain MP becomes angry and leaves Par-Lie-ahmint. Lie-Za said she was pleased wid P.M Fry-dey’s Carry-Come inaugural address. She say dat speech had Ralph bitching like “All dey, all night Merry on.”

And wid dat is gone ah gone again.

One Love Bassy
