SVG Table Tennis team wins titles in Grenada

The representative St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) team to the 2025 LQ Classic Junior Table Tennis Tournament, held March 7-9, in Grenada, returned home with two titles.

OranJay Williams copped the Boys Under-13 title while Macahlie Hazelwood, secured that in the Boys Under-15.

However, among the Vincentian contingent, there were other notable performances.

Loukhya Premraj placed second in both the Girls Under-15 and Girls 19 singles, and, with Jessica Mc Carter was the runner up in the Girls Open Doubles.

Also, the pair of Lamont Gregg and Machalie Hazelwood placed second in the Boys Open Doubles, with Terence Ashton and Kimoni Shoy placing third.

Mc Carter also finished third in the Girls Under-19 singles.

Also, the team of Lamont Gregg, Terence Ashton, Macahlie Hazelwood and Loukhya Premraj, reached the semi-finals of the Mixed Team competition; with OranJay

Williams and Gregg, reaching the semi-finals of the Boys Under-15 and Under-19 respectively.

Following their sojourn in Grenada, the Vincentian players will be engaged in selection matches this weekend, Mach 15 and 16, as St Vincent and the Grenadines prepares to participate in the Caribbean Youth Table Tennis Championships in Barbados, from April 20-26, 2025.
