Central Leeward Secondary takes schools’ knockout football title
The Central Leeward Secondary School added one more trophy to their already laden cabinet when they defeated the Georgetown Secondary School 2-1 in the Knockout Finals of the 2022 St Vincent and the Grenadines Inter-Secondary Schools Football tournament on Friday, December 9, at the Victoria Park.

Mosranny Harry opened the scoring for Central Leeward Secondary midway in the first half, with a sizzling strike from about 25 yards out which resulted in the ball kissing beneath the crossbar into the roof of the net, giving the custodian of the Georgetown Secondary School no chance, and leaving players and spectators stunned.
The school went 2-nil ahead minutes later, when Rahju Benjamin latched onto a pass within the six-yard box, and slotted home between the goalkeeper and the near upright.
The teams went into the break with Central Leeward leading 2-nil.
The lone goal for the Georgetown Secondary School came from the boot of a Central Leeward Secondary School player in the second half.
However, Central Leeward Secondary School held on to their two goals to secure victory and the title of Secondary Schools Football Knock Out champions.
