Three win top titles in National Junior Squash Championships

Darius Humphrey, Jaydon Williams and Nadira Morgan stashed the three titles that were at stake in the November 10-12 St Vincent and the Grenadines Squash Association, National Junior Squash Championships played at the National Squash Centre at Paul’s Avenue.

Humphrey took the Boys Under-13 title beating DeQuan Garrick and Raejon Dover, 3-0 and Savante Padmore, 3-1.

Williams won the Boys Under-17, following 3-0 wins over O’ Neil Sprott, and Deron Lewis, but had to dig deep to beat Jayden George 3-1, 10/12, 11/6, 12/10, 11/9 in the final.

And, Morgan won the Girls Combined title. En route to her title, Morgan got past Amiyah Bascombe, Niara John, Caeli George and Ciara George, all 3-0.

Two special awards were presented at last Saturday’s closing ceremony.

Pouching the Most Improved Female award was Amiyah Bascombe while Savante Padmore copped the award for the Most Improved Male player.
