Marriaqua Village Cup hosts full weekend of matches
THE MARRIAQUA Village Cup hosted five matches last weekend at the Cane End Playing Field.
Jackson Trading One Team Richland Park beat Mount Pleasant by 22 runs.
Richland Park made 133 for 5 from 20 overs, with Otis Hector scoring 65 and Roneke James, 33.
Kimron John took 2 for 3.
Mount Pleasant replied with 111. Israel Baptiste scored 30. Bowling for Richland Park, Enrique Daniel took 3 for 8, Sunil Pompey, 2 for 23 and Kelique Peters, 2 for 24.
Also on Saturday, Belair Sunset Strikers had a three-wicket win over Bruce Law Chambers Smashers. Zyron Harry hit 40, as Smashers made 106 for 6 from 15 overs. Travis Cumberbatch collected 3 for 12, as he took a hat-trick.
Sunset Strikers scored 108 for 7. Calvert Simon scored 30, while Zyron Harry had 2 for 18 and Cody Jarvis, 2 for 22.
On Sunday, Seventh Day Adventist Richland Park beat Enhams by 52 runs.
Seventh Day Adventist Richland Park scored 133
allout. Julian Mc Nichols scored 50.
For Enhams, Therick Creese snared 2 for 1 and Dexter Winfield, 2 for 59.
Enhams replied with 71 all out, as Noel Bobb grabbed 5 for 7 and Alistair Williams, 2 for 13.
Sunday’s second match resulted in Glenside defeating Cane End.
Dwight Allen led with 39, as Cane End made 98.
Okeiph Andrews took 3 for 3, Dwayne Williams, 2 for 21 and Kimron Willaims, 2 for 29.
Glenside replied with 99. Dwight Allen snared 3 for 20, bowling for Cane End.
And, Country Meet Town Freeland had a 22-run win over Riley. Freeland scdored 117 all out, as Norlan Williams picked off 3 for 26 and Ovando O’ Brien, 3 for 30.
Riley replied with 95 all out. Delon Williams scored 28.
Bowling for Freeland, Wesrick Strough grabbed 3 for 10 and Alwyn Quashie, 3 for 12.
