Parkside Rollers win National Football Second Division
PARKSIDE ROLLERS playing unbeaten, have trumped the Second Division of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation’s National Club Championships.
The Campden Park – based team , last Saturday confirmed their place as champions, following a 4-0 win over Brownstown, at the Grammar School Playing Field.
Strikes by Javid Gibson, Lenford Chance, Denzil Daniel and Kentish Matthews, gave Parkside Rollers their eighth win from 11 matches.
That win, along with their three drawn matches, gave them a tally of 27 points.
Parkside Rollers will now be promoted to the First Division of the 2020/2021 National Club Championships alongside Richmond Hill, which finished on 25 points.
In Richmond Hill’s last match also on Saturday, they had a 7-1 win over Roxdale, with Rayshawn Warren netting a hat trick,and Dante London, Trevor James, Nishum Cupid and Terrance Maxwell netting a goal apiece. Brownstown’s gaol came from Zavier Delpesche.
While Parkside Rollers and Richmond Hill will be heading into the First Division, Sharpes FC, DESCO, 1998 Hillside Rollers, and Brownstown, have been relegated.
They will no longer be accommodated in the National Club Championships.
