Schools’ football titles decided

The Kingstown Preparatory School won the primary schools’ title, while the Central Leeward Secondary took both the junior and senior titles, when the three finals of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation Schools’ tournament took place last Sunday at the Victoria Park.

Kingstown Preparatory School’s victory was attained by a Jomoni Douglas goal, that gave them a one-nil win over the Buccament Government.

Then, it was time double delight for the Central Leeward Secondary.

Central Leeward in retaining the junior title, again, left the St. Vincent Grammar School to settle for the runner-up spot, as was the case in 2018.

Central Leeward ended 4-1 in the ascendancy, with braces from Oryan Velox and Kylan Adams.

Leshorn Robinson hit the consolation for the St Vincent Grammar School.

And, Central Leeward stopped the Georgetown Secondary from making it three straight titles in the senior division.

Jahiem Charles netted the lone item for Central Leeward, to ensure that their many supporters were rewarded for their efforts.

Taking the third places were the Owia Government in the primary division; the Bethel High School in the junior category and Troumaca Ontario in the senior bracket.

The goal-scorers were Shemron Gaymes of the Buccament Government with 11 goals, while Central Leeward had double awardees in the secondary schools’ category.

Oryan Velox topped the junior division with 13 goals and Trivis Fraser in the senior, had 9 goals to his name.

Three goalkeepers were presented with trophies for their outstanding performances.

The primary schools’ awardee was Omarie Delpesche of the Kinsgtown Preparatory School, along with Garwin Davis and Jellando John, both of the Central Leeward Secondary.
