SVGFF promises greater support of masters’ football
President of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation (SVGFF) Marvin Fraser, speaking at the closing of the 2019 SVG Over-35s masters’ football competition, has promised his organisation’s greater involvement in the “product”.
Fraser, at the ceremony staged at the Victoria Park affirmed: “We pledged our support going forward in the masters’ competition… The SVG Football Federation, we are going to ensure that this tournament next year is bigger and better than this one”.
Continuing the SVGFF’s intent, Fraser outlined: “We are going to ensure that we put funds in the marketing… We are going ensure that we put funds into the prizes”.
Addressing the organisers, Fraser assured them: “We have your back”.
Additionally, Fraser projected that the SVGFF will be looking towards having masters’ teams from the region come in and play against local teams.
Fraser noted that masters’ football is critical for those players who have past the stage of competitive football, but who still need to play the sport at the recreational level, hence the support of the SVGFF.
The SVGFF this year played a critical role in the 2019 edition of the masters’ football competition, by providing match officials.
