Blue Chip takes 3 x3 U-18 play offs
Blue Chip One beat Mavrix One 8-6 last Saturday afternoon to take the SVG Basketball 3 x 3 Under-18 play-off at the Calliaqua hard court.
The highly competitive final brought together some of the mainland’s brightest male prospects in the sport.
Blue Chip was the best represented at last Saturday’s event, fielding three teams.
Apart from the winning unit, Blue Chip had a Team Two, as well as a female team.
Mavrix, like Blue Chip, also had a male Team Two.
The fast paced 3 x 3, is played on a non-stop basis, as the basketball must always be moving.
3X3 utilises half of the court, with a 12 seconds shot clock. Matches are of 10 minutes duration, and the team with the more points at regulation time, or the first team to 21 points is declared the winner.
Each team has only one substitute.
