Team Rivals, Radcliffe draw in derby showdown
TEAM RIVALS and FLOW Radcliffe drew their National Lotteries Authority premier division match in round two of the national cricket programme last weekend at the Arnos Vale one playing field.
Affected by rain, Radcliffe however got the upper hand, as they took first innings honours.
Radcliffe posted 253/ 8 declared; Gidron Pope 73 and Asif Hooper 42. For Team Rivals, Olanzo Jackson took 5/79.
Team Rivals made 248 all out in reply. Kody Horne – 69 and Lindon James – 49, were the principal scorers. Bowling for Radcliffe,Tijourn Pope scalped 3/42 and Rasheed Fredericks had 3/65.
It was a similar tale at the Sion Hill Playing Field, as Victors One and Police Two, also played to a draw. Police Two was dismissed for 148. Leading the lawmen’s batting was Andrew Thomas, who scored 39 and Sylvan Spencer- 32.
Alston Bobb, with his third successive five wicket haul, bagged 5/38, bowling for Victors One.
Responding, Victors One got to 165 all out, with Chrisroy John making 63.
Police Two in their second innings was 210/6 at the close.
Desron Maloney – 80 and Kenneth Dember – 44, were the principal scorers, while Alston Bobb resumed his wicket taking form, snapping up 4/62.
Victors One will return to the Sion Hill Playing Field, when they take on FLOW Radcliffe, with Guardian General Saints facing Police Two at the Arnos Vale One Playing Field.
