K&R Strikers top fun day seven-a-side

K&R Strikers beat Camdonia-Chelsea one–nil to win the seven-a-side competition, which was part of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation female fun day, which was hosted at the Victoria Park.

Before reaching the final, K&R Strikers had a 4-0 win over System 3 B team in the semi-finals, while Camdonia-Chelsea got over System 3 A 1-0 in kicks from the penalty spot, as the two had played to a stalemate in regulation time.

The female fun day was held under the theme – “Keep the Ball in Play”, with nine teams contesting the seven–a–side competition.

Last Saturday’s fun day also involved some skills challenges among the players.

The fun day culminates the list of activities during the month which had been dubbed : “The Month of Female Football”.

Matches under the lights at the Victoria Park on two consecutive Wednesdays and a female schools’ festival, also consumed the month of activities.
