Year One Technical spike SVG Community College’s volleyball title

Year One Technical ended the run of the teams from the Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies, when they clipped the wings of Year Two Arts, Sciences and General Studies, by winning the volleyball component of the SVG Community College sports programme.

When the finals of the 2017 QuickCash Corp sponsored Inter-Divisional competition commenced last Friday afternoon at the Villa Campus Court, Year One Technical bossed proceedings in straight sets, 3-0 (25-14, 25-11, 25-13), over Year Two Arts, Sciences and General Studies.

Taking third place were Year One Arts, Sciences and General Studies, who prevailed over the Teacher Education Division 25-18, 25-12.

In the individual awards, MVP of Year One Arts, Sciences and General Studies was Lawrence Bascombe, while the recipient for Year Two Arts, Sciences and General Studies was Justin Bullock and Year Two Technical – Jad Martin.

Deandre Quashie of Year One Technical was her team’s MVP, as well as the MVP of the competition.
