Radcliffe flowing in national twenty/20 cricket competition
Flow Radcliffe, defending champions of the National Lotteries Authority Neil Williams 20/20 competition, advantaged Strike Eagles on Sunday by 163 runs at the Sion Hill Playing Field.
Radcliffe scored 189 for 8 from their 20 overs. Romano Pierre struck 66, Andy Harper â 39 and Gidron Pope â 25. Darren John took 4 for 39 and Glenroy Wilson â 2 for 20.
Strike Eagles were 36 all out. Andy Harper took 4 for 16, Othneil Lewis â 3 for 15 and Gidron Pope â 2 for no run.
Also at Arnos Vale Two, Radcliffe Too edged out Victors Two by one run. Radcliffe Too made 120 for 7 off 15. Calvert King had 36 and there were 29 extras.
Leon Quashie earned 2 for 13, Adinol Richards â 2 for 18 and Shamic Roberts â 2 for 24, bowling for Victors Two.
In response, Victors Two scored 119 for 8 off 15 overs. Adinol Richards made 29, Gerald Gould â 24 and Marcus Mc Coy â 21. Nickron Mc Dowall bagged 5 for 15, including a hat-trick.
Meanwhile Providence Electronic Solutions outdid Bequia Cricket Association at Sion Hill.
Bequia racked up 132, with Olanzo Billingy â 54 and Chelson Stowe â 33. Winston Samuel took 2 for 15.
North Leeward responded well with 133 for 2. Colson Mc Kie got 48, Shammon Hooper â 44 and Michael Joseph â 24.
At Buccament, Smashers upstaged the powerful Police unit by four wickets.
Salvan Browne hit his second half century in as many days, 64, as Police scored 133 for 8 from the 20 overs. Kirton Lavia gained 3 for 29 and Javid Harry â 2 for 24, to be Smashersâ most successful bowlers.
Smashers replied with 138 for 6. Kuthbert Springer had 29, Raymond Rouse â 21 and there were 38 extras. Kenneth Dember had 2 for 16, bowling for Police.
But it was not the case for Victors One, who beat Owia Stars by 59 runs at Arnos Vale Two.
Lauron Francois slammed 76 and Donwell Hector â 30, in Victors Oneâs 193 for 6 from their 20 overs.
Dean Browne had 2 for 24, bowling for Owia Stars, who responded with 134.
Shem Browne crashed 50, while Alston Bobb grabbed 4 for 4 and Shane Roberts had 2 for 40.
Also in winnersâ row were Triumph United, who outlasted Combine Youths by 23 runs at Buccament.
Triumph United reached 148, with Vangel Small at 33. Oneil Endeavour got 3 for 50, while Darie Haywood and Geron Wyllie both took 2 for 12.
Combine Youths scored 125. with Nickie Antoine on 42 and Frankie Farrell â 31, as Vangel Small snared 3 for 36 and Rommel Jack â 3 for 41.
And the SVG Community Collegeâs two outfits lost both matches at the Arnos Vale Playing Field.
Team Rivals scolded RW Sporting World SVG Community College by 126 runs.
Team Rivals totalled 189 for 2 in 20 overs, behind 49 not out from Roniel Jeffery, 43 from Hyron Shallow, 36 from Casmond Walters and 32 from Harley Skeritt.
The RW Sporting World SVGCC managed only 63 for 9 in reply, when the overs ended. Winsbert Springer, 2 for 1, Rasheed Fredericks, 2 for 12 and Rayshorn Durrant, 2 for 13, bowled well for Team Rivals.
And, Guardian General Saints defeated the French Verandah SVG Community College.
French Verandah SVGCC scored 121 for 5. Jeremy Layne made 35, Rayon Williams â 33 and Kody Horne â 28 not out. Ray Charles took 2 for 19.
Saints took all of 16.3 overs and lost 3 wickets on their way to 122. Vincent Cupid â 39, Rickford Walker â 38 and Romel Currency â 32, saw their team to victory.
Eleven matches are carded for this weekend, as the competition continues in high gear.
