Three Vincentians on pole vault workshop in Grenada
Three Vincentians â coach Ronique Dowers and athletes â Javon Rawlins and Shahalia Lynch are in Grenada participating in a one-week workshop in performing the pole vault.
Dowers, a former student of the Thomas Saunders Secondary School, is currently employed by the Department of Physical Education and Sports, {{more}}while Rawlins and Lynch are students of the St Vincent Grammar School and the Barrouallie Secondary School, respectively.
Their attendance was facilitated by Team Athletics SVG, as the local track and field body seeks to broaden opportunities for athletes and coaches.
The workshop, which has as its facilitator Kasey Lewis, started last Sunday and ends on Saturday, and takes place at the Grenada National Stadium.
At present, St Vincent and the Grenadines does not have the facilities to accommodate pole vaulting.(RT)
