The new champions were installed when the 2016 edition, the sixth in the Tournamentâs history, closed off last Saturday at the Grammar School Playing Field.
System Three team one, which in the previous two years had to remain in the shadows of Adare, who had copped the two titles, had United Strikers to contend with in Saturdayâs final.
But a goal each from Zamora Mofford, Jerand Dopwell and Shayne Lynch handed System Three team one a 3-1 triumph over their opponents.
United Strikersâ item was scored by Jason Parsons.
The Under-16 final was followed by the Senior Division, which featured two first time finalists, as RSVG Police took on the National Fisher Folks.
In a competitive match-up, both teams had played to a 1-1 tie in regulation time. Kendol Douglas had netted for the National Fisher Folks, who were without their talisman, national player Daniel Patrick, who is nursing a broken right leg.
Registering RSVG Policeâs goal was Kevin Abraham.
The final then had to be decided on kicks from the penalty spot and this too provided some drama, as at the end of the five kicks, both outfits were locked on 2-2.
