SVGCC awards top Inter-divisional Football Competition’s performers
Those who were a cut above the rest in the various areas of adjudication in the recently concluded French Verandah National Lotteries Authority SVG Community Collegeâs Inter-divisional Football Competition were given their rewards at a brief ceremony, which took place at the Victoria Park, following the grand finale.{{more}}
Aron Cupid of Year Two Technical and Vocational copped the Best Striker Award, with Clinton Charles of Year One Arts, Science and General Studies adjudged the tournamentâs Best Defender.
Meanwhile, Year One Technical and Vocationalâs Jowan Sawyers and Anthony Hazell were named the Best Midfielder and the Best Goalkeeper, respectively.
And, Hosni Chandler of champion outfit Year One Arts, Science and General Studies walked away with the award for Most Goals, for his six goals in the competition.
Chandler, who scored one of his teamâs goals versus Year One Technical and Vocational in his teamâs 3-1 win in the title match, walked off with the MVP of the Final award.
The Division of Teacher Education was the Most Disciplined team of the competition.
Year Two Arts, Science and General Studies and the Police Youth Club were the other teams which contested the inter-divisional phase of the SVG Community Collegeâs football calendar for the 2016-2017 academic year.(RT)
