RSVG Police take Street 20 Cricket title

RSVG Police won the National Sports Council’s inaugural Street 20 Cricket Competition, which concluded last Saturday night at the Arnos Vale Netball Complex.

RSVG Police gained $1,500 and an opportunity to host an event at the President’s Suite, located at the Arnos Vale Playing Field, while second placed National Sports Council got $1,000.

In the semi-finals, RSVG Police outdid the National Insurance Services (NIS), while the National Sports Council bettered G & T Enterprises, when the two also met in the last four.

G & T Enterprises went on to take the third place and the $800 cash prize, after beating the National Insurance Services in the play-off.

The competition, which was held over two Saturdays, was held in conjunction with the Department of Physical Education and Sports; nine teams participated.

East Caribbean Bottlers Inc provided $3,300 towards sponsorship of the competition.(RT)
