When Mc Dowall competed last year, she timed 39 minutes 09.seconds, which put her third.
In 2014, Mc Dowall was just outside the podium finish, as she was fourth in 40 minutes 52 seconds.
She will be also hoping to maintain her rich form for 2016, as she topped the Caricom 10k in Guyana in July and was second in the Venture Credit Union 5k, staged in Trinidad and Tobago, last month.
Mc Dowall was the top female athlete at the Grenada National Championships, which took place in June.
Also representing St Vincent and the Grenadines in Saturdayâs race will be long standing male distance athlete Pamenos Ballantyne.
Ballantyne, in last yearâs outing, became the first male runner from the English speaking Caribbean, for the second year running to cross the finish line. He placed sixth, as he did in 2014; however, he stopped the clock at 33 minutes 41 seconds. This bettered his time of 33 minutes 49 seconds, done in 2014.
Canadian Laura Batterink won the womenâs race last year in 35 minutes 38 seconds, while Juan Carlos Montero of Mexico headed the field in the menâs segment. The Mexican won the event for the third successive occasion, when he clocked 30 minutes 54 seconds.(RT)
