Police off to good start in Masters Cricket

Facing off with Computec Belfongo at the Sion Hill Playing Field on Sunday, Police, on the back of 63 from Gosnel Cupid and Parnel Browne, 27, scored 116 for 7 off their 20 overs.
Elvis Browne picked up 2 for 9, bowling for Belfongo, whose response halted at 100 for 8 off the 20 maximum overs.
Curtis King top scored for Belfongo, while Sigmon Allen, 3 for 9, and Elmore Alexander, 2 for 12, stifled their opponentsâ batting.
Meanwhile, Bequia Cricket Association Masters made good of home advantage at the Clive Tannis Playing Field, ousting JG and Sons Glamorgan by five wickets.
In a match reduced to 12 overs because of rain, Glamorgan got to 103 for 5 from their allotment.
Augustus Moffordâs 34 proved to be the top score.
Bequia Cricket Association Masters replied with 108 for 5 from 10.5 overs. Calvin Hazell hit 41 not out, while Chesley Ottley took 2 for 10 and Godfrey Brewster had 2 for 25, in a losing cause for Glamorgan.
And, Stanley Browneâs Stubbs registered a comfortable nine-wicket triumph over Marriaqua.
Also affected by rain, Marriaqua, batting first reached 56 for 6 off 11 overs, as the match saw a reduction in the number of overs.
Theophilus Wallace had 2 for 5, bowling for Stubbs, who rushed to 59 for 1 off 6.2 overs, compliments 24 not out from Leon Samuel.
