NSC to host Street 20 softball cricket competition

The National Sports Council, in conjunction with the Division of Physical Education and Sports, will be hosting a Street 20 softball cricket competition for business houses, to commemorate this country’s 37th anniversary of Independence.{{more}}

Dubbed the “Inaugural Firms Street 20 Softball Cricket Competition”, it is set to begin on September 24th and be played on Saturdays up to October 22. To date, 24 teams have indicated their willingness to take part, with five already registered. The registration deadline is this Friday, September 16, with a fee of $400.

Teams will be competing for a cash prize of EC $1,500. The winner will also be granted access to the Arnos Vale Sports Complex for the hosting of one event. The 2nd placed team will receive EC $1,000, and EC$800 will go to the 3rd placed team.

All games will be played at the Arnos Vale Sports Complex hard courts, and teams interested in taking part can contact the National Sports Council at 458-4201.
