Top Shottaz Squady win again in Greiggs Softball Cricket

Defending champions of the Hairoun Brewery, Sea Operations, Nar Fren Dem Greiggs T20 Softball Cricket competition Top Shottaz Squady have made it two from two thus far in the 2016 edition.{{more}}

The 2015 winners’ latest triumph came against Snipers Reloaded in a 35-run margin at the Greiggs central playing field. Top Shottaz Squady scored 124 all out in 15.1 overs. Stein Joseph top scored with 74. Chrisston Williams took 2 for 21. Snipers Reloaded, in their chase, stopped at 62 all out in 17.5 overs, as Stein Joseph picked up 3 for 6.

This was one of three matches played on Sunday. Also on that day, Log Enterprise won from Bruce Law Chambers Inc Smashers by eight wickets. Smashers made 93 in 19 overs. Tydel Richards took 3 for 15. Supreme Strikers replied with 96 for 2 wickets in 12.5 overs; Kensley Joseph struck 65.

And, Sunday’s other fixture resulted in CGM Gallagher Novice registering a 24-run win over Street Fighters.

Novice were 102 all out; Elton Williams made 42. Kenson Danzell took 3 for 10, bowling for Street Fighters, whose response finished at 79 in 14.3 overs. Zenol Quashie got 27. Desron Maloney snared 3 for 13 and Alroy Farrell – 3 for 35.

On Saturday, Sion Hill Tallawahs crushed Warriors by 129 runs.

Sion Hill Tallawahs batted first and made 201 for 7 in their 20 overs, with Teroy Roberts stroking a weekend high score of 83. Manley Duncan took 2 for 57.

In reply, Warriors were dismissed for 73 in 16 overs. Junan Baptiste scored 25. Shanley Lavia had figures of 4 for 7 and Kerwin Williams 4 for 24.

Also on Saturday, Rogers Photo Studio Fyah One went under to Bank of SVG All Starz by 70 runs.

All Starz scored 140 in their 20 overs; Ron Adams registered 53, while Israel Baptiste, bowling for Fyan One, grabbed 3 for 16.

Fyah One were sent packing for 71 in 16 overs; Jerando Jardine made 33. Glenroy Dasent and Andrew Little both had 2 for 5.(RT)
