Humble Lions roar in Marriaqua Football
Humble Lions left the Cane End Playing Field last Sunday night the happier outfit, following their defeat of Downstreet in the final of the National Lotteries Authority/Flow/Kirk Da Silva Marriaqua Football League.
Composed of players who were part of St Vincent and the Grenadines Windward Islands Schools Games team and some senior national players, Humble Lions looked the superior bunch on paper. However, Downstreet found energy from their supporters who thronged the venue, wanting the title to reside in the Valley, but Kevin Primus of Humble Lions put paid to such wishes, as he netted the lone goal of the match. Humble Lions, a new concoction in the competition therefore, went all the way in their first attempt.{{more}}
