Milo Junior Tennis Tournament returns to Grassroot
The Grassroot Tennis Club will from Monday August 22 stage the Milo Junior Tennis Tournament at the clubâs base at Murrayâs Road.
The tournament runs until August 27, and will feature several of the budding tennis players as well as those who have exited the juniors.{{more}}
Categories to be contested are Under 8,10,12,14, 18 and Under 21, singles for both boys and girls.
Grant Connell of the GTC said that the inclusion of the Under-21 is an addition to the tournament to fill that gaping hole left with the absence of a bona fide national senior tournament, which has been absent for some time now.
He said that the hosting of a Under-21 mixed doubles is to help to bring back some females at that age group who have left the sport.
Also there will be Under-14 mixed doubles. Registration forms can be collected at the club, at Grant Connellâs Chambers or at the national tennis centre at Villa.
Deadline for entries is today August 19, at 5pm.(RT)
