Skiddy Francis-Crick still dominant in the circle
For the umpteenth time, veteran player Skiddy Francis-Crick is the national netball tournamentâs Most Accurate Goal Shooter.
Celebrating her 30th year as a player for the Maple club, Francis-Crick registered a 90.03 per cent accuracy rate. She added the award of her teamâs Most Valuable Player to her takings when the 2016 Flow sponsored tournament closed off last Wednesday at the Kingstown Netball Centre.{{more}}
Copping the corresponding award for shooting accuracy among the junior players was Ariel Stephens of Third Eye X-Ceed. Stephens had a success shooting rate of 70.1 per cent.
The Most Improved Player was Jeneisa Lowe of SVG General Services Strikers, with the Twilight Trading X-Ceedâs pair of Shantal Rouse and Nerissa Delpesche â the Best Defending Player and Best Midcourt Player, respectively in the Senior Division.
Nia Frederick of SVG Services Maple was again adjudged the Best Defending Player for the juniors.
Dianjre Bacchus of New Era Pepper Stars took the Best Midcourt â juniors, with Nicole Stevenson of Western Union Mitres â the Best Attacking Player â seniors. The Best Attacking Player among the juniors was SVG General Services Mapleâs Shanise Humphrey.
The other individual awards distributed on the night were for the teamsâ Most Valuable Player.
Joining Francis-Crick as the Division One awardees were Nicole Stevenson â Western Union Mitres; Shantal Rouse â Twilight Trading X-Ceed and Kelly Ann Stephens â Dr Jules ASCO.
In Division Two, stepping to the podium were Joanne Johnson â Cash Wiz Green Hill Sports Club; Khadija Williams â Dutch Lady Clinchers; Roseann Stephens â French Verandah X-Ceed; Zipporah Millington â Hillview; Marsha Browne â Maple; Kemisha Antoine â Nice Radio Clinchers; Audrey Adams â Prime Consulting 3 Jâs Valley Strikers; Kayshorn Lowman â Star Girls and Mia Durrant â Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem.
The recipients in Division Three were Oslyn Bunyan â Beta Farms Bequia Ballers; Iasha Evans â ASCO; Emril Tannis â Imperial Pharmacy Bequia; Elizabeth Mc Kenzie â Irie Travel Vets; Curlyn John â Layou Golden Girls; Jenesia Lowe â SVG General Services Strikers and Antonelle Douglas â Third Eye Security X-Ceed.
And in Division Four, taking the awards were Nicole London â Dr Ackie Pacers; Tyiesha Joseph â ASCO Youths; Clavia Charles â Lime GHS; Molissa Ashton â New Era Pepper Stars; Amelia John â Prime Consulting 3 Jâs Valley Strikers and Aaliyiah Jordan â Thomas Saunders Secondary School.(RT)
