Je Belle Football Club holds in-house awards ceremony
Sticking to its motto: âBelieve and Achieveâ, the 15-year-old Je Belle FC has inaugurated its internal awards and recognition ceremony, to reward members for their output for the past football season.
The maiden hosting took place last Saturday night at the D-Ziaâs Bar, located at Top Questelles.{{more}}
Topping the awards list was Theon Gordon, who secured the Player of the Season accolade, to go along with that of Most Outstanding Midfielder.
Richard Francis was adjudged the Most Outstanding Goalkeeper; Troy Jeffers â Most Outstanding Defender, with Daniel Patrick â the seasonâs top goal scorer for the club.
Meanwhile, Roshano Benjamin took the Most Improved Player award. Securing the reward as the player with the most outstanding attendance and punctuality during the season was Garrick Garnes, with Cellus Cupid voted as the Most Disciplined Player.
Bashar Awad â the clubâs founder and Bertram Pitt â the longest serving member of the club, also received awards at last Saturdayâs function.
The club also recognized the financial inputs of Digicel St Vincent, Extreme FM and Katos Catering.
The adjudication was primarily for the clubâs participation in the National Club Championships, put on by the St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation.The judging for the awards was done by the players.
Apart from the dishing out of awards, the ceremony heard remarks from the clubâs manager Kevin Smith; third vice-president of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation Wayde Jackson; and Jamisha Wright of Digicel St Vincent. Devron Poyer was the featured speaker.
