NOC celebrates IOC anniversary with Olympic Run, Fun Day

The customary Olympic Day Run, followed by a Fun Day, was the St Vincent and the Grenadines National Olympic Committee’s way of commemorating the 122nd anniversary of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).{{more}}

With representation by members of affiliate national sporting organizations, as well as students of the Kingstown Government School and the St Mary’s Roman Catholic, the Run began at the Grammar School Playing Field, moved through the streets of Kingstown, culminating at the Victoria Park.

There, several activities engaged the participants in the Fun Day aspects of the celebrations.

On Thursday, June 23, the St Vincent and the Grenadines NOC will join the International Olympic Movement in observing the 122nd anniversary of the commencement of the IOC.

The IOC was established June 23, 1894 at the Sorbonne, Paris, France.
