Participants were drawn from those institutions who are involved in the schoolsâ and Get Into Rugby programme.
And, despite several of the primary schoolsâ studentsâ failure to show up to the venue, Valarie Pelletier, secretary of the union, thought the occasion was âsuccessfulâ.
âIt was successful because we achieved what we wanted, although some of the students, especially from the leeward side did not show because of the rain,â Pelletier told SEARCHLIGHT.
Next, those youngsters who want to get into rugby or enhance their skills can be part of the unionâs youth summer camp.
The camp takes place in four locations and runs for a four-week period.
The camp kicks off at the Calliaqua Playing Field from July 25-29, with the Georgetown Playing Field giving exposure on August 1- 5.
Activities then move to the Keartons Playing Field from August 8-12 and for the August 12-19 undertaking, the venue will be the Chateaubelair Playing Field.(RT)
