Alexander, competing in the male 11-12 age group, gained silver medals in the 50m and 100m breaststroke events. In the shorter distance, he clocked 35.49 seconds and in the 100m, one minute 17.30 seconds.
Meanwhile, Shne, who claimed three medals in last yearâs championships, then as a competitor in the 13-14 years category, gained bronze when she clocked 33.99 seconds in the female 50m breaststroke, as she got her first experience in the 15-17 age group.
The two almost missed out on podium finishes, as they had two fourth places each. Alexander came in fourth in the 200m breaststroke and the 200m butterfly, while Shne came in behind the third places in the 100m and 200m breaststroke.
Alexander added two other finalist appearances to his efforts, as he was among the eight swimmers in the 50m and 100m butterfly medal races.
Also giving a good account of himself was Shane Cadogan in the 13-14 years male age group.
Cadogan reached the finals of the 50m and 100m breaststroke, clocking 32.40 seconds and one minute 11.22 seconds respectively, which placed him fourth on both counts.
Another finalist among the Vincentian contingent was Nikolas Sylvester, who came in seventh in the 100m breaststroke for males 15-17 years.
The two other members of the St Vincent and the Grenadines team were Aaron De Freitas and Cruz Halbich. The two made showings only in the preliminaries events.
DeFreitas competed in the male 13-14 age category and Halbich the male 15-17.
