Quarter-finalists known in national Twenty/20 cricket competition

The quarter-finalists in the National Lotteries Authority Neil Williams Twenty/20 Cricket Competition have been declared.

In are defending champions Team Rivals, Lime Radcliffe, Victors One, Guardian General Saints, Northern Stars, Police Two, the News Spartans and Carl Joseph Law Chambers ASCO.{{more}}

Saturday’s quarter-finals pit Team Rivals against ASCO at Arnos Vale Two; Victors One play at Spartans at Park Hill, while Northern Stars face off with Police Two at Sion Hill and at Arnos Vale One Saints meet Radcliffe. All matches bowl off at 2 p.m.

Following Saturday’s quarter-finals, the winners will meet on Sunday at Arnos Vale One and Two from 2 p.m. to determine who advance to the grand finale.

The last to make the cut was ASCO, who defeated Combined Youths at Arnos Vale Two on Sunday.

ASCO made 133 all out in 17.5 overs; Andre Hunte got 29, Kelshun DaSilva, 21 and Deron Greaves, 20.

Bowling for Combined Youths, Geron Wyllie grabbed 4 for 32, Marlon Farrell, 3 for 13 and Nickie Antoine, 2 for 23.

Combined Youths replied with 127 for 6 in 20 overs, falling short by six runs.

Oneal Endeavour again was the top scorer with 42 and Dexter Winfield made 30, while Andre Hunte was ASCO’s most successful bowler, taking 2 for 15.

Also on Sunday, Lime Radcliffe overcame KCCU Triumph United by 88 runs at Arnos Vale One.

Batting first, Lime Radcliffe posted 181 for 6 in 19 overs, with Kadir Nedd, 47, Romano Pierre, 37, Rodney Lawrence, 26 and Richie Richards, 23 not out.

Triumph United’s best bowler was Keroy Roberts, with 3 for 19.

At their turn, Triumph United packed it in at 93 off 19 overs; Travis Cumberbatch made 31 and Andrew Glasgow, 26 not out. Lindon James snared 4 for 9 for Lime Radcliffe.

Also at the Arnos Vale One venue, Team Rivals were in command over the News Spartans, beating them by eight wickets.

Spartans’ innings of 94 all out off 18.1 overs saw Gidron Pope stroking 44.

Asif Hooper, 3 for 13, Olanzo Jackson and Roneil Jeffrey – 2 for 15 apiece and Casmond Walters, 2 for 23, shared the wickets. Team Rivals then rushed to 98 for 2 off 10.2 overs.

Asif Hooper, with 53 and Hyron Shallow, 23 not out, led Team Rivals’ response.

Micah Joseph picked up both wickets that fell at the cost of 27 runs.

And, Police Two defeated Victors Two by four wickets at Arnos Vale Two.

Victors Two batted first and made 145 for 4 in 17.0 overs, with the main scorers being Adinal Richards – 40, Leon Samuel – 32 not out and Kishore Shallow – 21 not out.

Police Two, on the back of 48 from Salvan Browne and 39 from Donson Andrews, replied with 149 for 6 in 15.1 overs. Bowling for Victors Two, Kishore Shallow had 2 for 30 and Rayan Williams 2 for 31.(RT).
