Hope International, the defending champions on a perfect 21 points, having recorded seven straight wins, and gone 15 matches with wins, are bringing over their success train from 2014, when the last championships were held.
With the championships at the halfway mark, Hope Internationalâs closest rival in the 2015/2016 edition is System Three, who are four points adrift on 17.
Third place in 2014, System Three, like Hope International, are also undefeated in seven matches.
However, System Three have two drawn matches on their standings.
Bequia United are holding down the third spot with 16 points, with fourth placed Sion Hill on 14 points.
Locked on 12 points apiece are Campdonia-Chelsea and Avenues United, while next on the standings are Je Belle on 10 points.
The bottom half sees SV United, 2013 champions â BESCO-Pastures, Greiggs and Toni Stores Jugglers all on 7 points.
Prospect United on 6 points, Parkside Rollers â 2 points and Dove â zero, would be looking to make amends in their remaining six matches, to stave off relegation to the First Division of the next championships.
The 14 teams/clubs in the championships, would play each other once, with the winner determined by most points tallied after the 13 rounds of competition.
Meanwhile, the premiership will take a break for the next two weeks, as the elimination cup competition gets its first and second phases going.(RT)
