Atticus Browne shines for Victors One over Saints
Atticus Browne shone with both bat and ball for Victors One last Saturday at the Arnos Vale One Playing Field to see his team to a 26-run triumph over Guardian General Saints in the National Lotteries Authority Neil Williams Twenty/20 Cricket Competition.{{more}}
Browne stroked 101 not out, in which he belted six fours and seven sixes, as Victors One piled up 163 for 5 from their 20 overs. Miles Bascombe contributed 38, while Kentish Bascombe picked up 4 for 30, bowling for Saints.
Browne then took 2 for 19 with his off-spin, as Saints reached 137 for 7 from their allotment of 20 overs. Joey Welcome-Liverpool scored 59 not out.
At the adjoining Arnos Vale Two, Combined Youths had a comprehensive eight-wicket win at the expense of Radcliffe Too.
Casron King led Radciffeâs innings of 141, scoring 79. Jeron Wyllie â 3 for 13 and Oneal Endeavour â 2 for 29, were Combined Youthsâ most successful bowlers.
In response, Combined Youths made 145 for 2; Oneal Endeavour got 44, Jeron Wyllie â 36 and Hector Winfield â 26 not out.
Meanwhile, Team Rivals handed iShallz Byamâs Physical Therapy a 37-run defeat at the Sion Hill Playing Field.
Harley Skerritt â 70 and Asif Hooper â 27 were the main efforts with the bat, as Team Rivals posted 159 for 7 from 20 overs. Courtney Joyette had 2 for 23 and Leon Quashie â 2 for 29.
iShallz Byamâs Physical Therapy replied with 122 for 5 from their 20 overs. Cuthbert Springer scored 35 and Rawdon Bentick â 26. Olanzo Jackson took 2 for 14, bowling for Team Rivals.
Joining in the victory column were Police Two, who outdid Triumph United by 39 runs at the Park Hill Playing Field.
Police Two scored 194; Mc Leon Williams got 87, Donson Andrews â 47 and Salvan Browne â 32.
Triumph United made 155 for 8; Keon Roberts had 27 and Andrew Glasgow â 25.
Bowling for the law officers, Donson Andrews took 2 for 22.
And, Northern Stars continued their merry march, condemning Carl Joseph Law Chambers ASCO to their three straight defeats at the Buccament Bay Playing Field.
Northern Stars reached 149 for 9 from 20 overs, with Shammon Hooper making 32 and Elmore Robertson â 24. Ronnique Laborde snared 3 for 25, bowling for ASCO.
Labordeâs top score of 31 did not help ASCO, as they were dismissed for 101. Shammon Hooper had 2 for 26, to be Northern Starsâ most successful bowler.
