LP Netters boss Georgetown Netball Competition awards show
League champions and knockout runner-up of the 2015-2016 Digicel/ Flow/St Vincent Brewery Georgetown Netball Competition Laraâs Bar LP Netters and Wanderers bossed the individual awards dished out last Saturday night at the Chilli hard court.{{more}}
Topping the list of awardees was Kemisha Antoine, who was named most valuable player of the competition, with team-mate Shema Wright, the most valuable player of last Saturdayâs knock out final.
Shannique De Shong also of LP Netters won the best midcourt player trophy and Kevisha Williams – the best defender accolade.
The lone award which did not go LP Nettersâ way was pouched by Wanderersâ Gailene Gordon, who was the most accurate shooter as she registered 232 goals from her 250 attempts.
Sister teams in the competition, they both shared the titles at stake, as Wanderers clipped LP Netters 42-32 in last Saturdayâs elimination phase of the competition.
Nar Fren Dem placed third in the two segments of the competition.
The other teams which featured in the competition, held over from last year, were Everready Future Stars, KCCU Stingers, Red Stars, Trailblazers and Flasher Rising Stars.(RT)
