Saints, ASCO flourishing in national Twenty/20 cricket

Guardian General Saints and Carl Joseph Law Chambers ASCO are showing that they are contenders in this year’s National Lotteries Authority Neil Williams 20/20 cricket competition.

Both made it two from two last Saturday at the Arnos Vale venues.

Saints, facing Northern Stars at Arnos Vale Two, batted first and racked up 142 for 2 from 12 overs, as the match was reduced because of rain.

Rickford Walker slammed 66; Sunil Ambris struck 27 not out and Joe Liverpool – 26.

Northern Stars, asked to make 123 in 10 overs, because of another rain interruption, reached 98 for 9. Ranjel Small made 21.

Bowling for Saints, Andrew Emtage grabbed 4 for 10 and Ray Charles had 3 for 18.

And, at Arnos Vale One, ASCO halted Police One by seven wickets.

Police One scored 102, of which Vertil Davis made a top score of 21. Andre Hunte took 2 for 16 and Antonio Barker – 2 for 19, bowling for ASCO.

In response, ASCO reached 105 for 3. Derron Greaves was 45 not out and Desron Maloney – 21.(RT)
