But there will be a new winner in the junior segment, as last yearâs champion â the Central Leeward Secondary â was booted out in the semi-finals by the St Martinâs Secondary.
DJPEM eased into the final with a comfortable 4-0 thumping of the Intermediate High School on Wednesday at the Sion Hill Playing Field, while Georgetownâs date with destiny came about when they defeated the Central Leeward Secondary 3-2 in the other half of the semis, played at the Arnos Vale Two Playing Field.
Meanwhile, the St Martinâs Secondary will have another opportunity to atone when they meet last yearâs losing finalist, the Bethel High School, in the Junior Division showdown.
St Martinâs, who had to settle for second place in 2011 and 2013, in getting to the finals ousted the Central Leeward 4-2 in kicks from the penalty spot, after both outfits had played to a 2-2 in regulation and extra time.
This encounter was played out at the Arnos Vale Two venue.
St Martinâs opponents in the final, the Bethel High School, did not need all that drama, as they stopped the DJPEM 2-1 in normal time, at the Sion Hill Playing Field.
The junior final is set to kick off at 1:30 p.m., with the senior division decider beginning at 3 p.m. Prizes and trophies won in the tournament will be distributed following the senior final.(RT)
