SVGFF to hold elections November 21, 2015

The long-awaited date for the convening of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation (SVGFF) is set for November 21.{{more}}

This was communicated to SEARCHLIGHT by president of the SVGFF Venold Coombs, who revealed that the draft audited statements for 2014 were to be discussed by his executive and the auditors.

The lack of readiness of the audit was given as the reason for the postponement of the meeting from September 26.

Coombs further noted that the timing was right, as the World Cup qualifying matches involving St Vincent and the Grenadines away to the USA on November 13 and the home match versus Guatemala November 17, “will be out the way.”

High on the agenda for the November 21 Annual General Meeting would be the elections for a new executive.

Although two names have been bandied about, SEARCHLIGHT has no official word as to who will come up against the incumbent Coombs for the top post.

However, Wayne Grant is one person who has indicated that he will be contesting the post of first vice-president, with Bevan Lewis aiming to be the next third vice-president. The current executive, led by Coombs, was installed on September 24, 2011.(RT)
