Shallow hits back-to-back centuries in BCL
Hyron Shallow struck back-to-back centuries last weekend in the 30-over Knockout Competition of the Brooklyn Cricket League.
A former St Vincent and the Grenadines and Windwards batsman, Shallow hit 140 on Saturday at Marine Park D, to lead Imperial to 299 for 5 from 30 overs against another Vincentian team â Middlesex.{{more}}
Other good scores came from Roy Bryan â 44 and Foster Lewis â 35. Bowling for Middlesex, Tyson Crawford took 2 for 55 and Stephan Wilson â 2 for 67.
In reply, Middlesex were 52 for 6 from 12 overs; Rawle Jackman made 27. Bowling for Imperial, Sami had 3 for 21. Imperial won by 248 runs.
Then on Sunday at Seaview, Shallow hit 155 against Janoon, as Imperial rattled up 230 for 5 from their 30 overs. Bowling for Janoon, Faisal Ali picked up 2 for 29.
Janoon were 119 all out. Waheem top scored with 35, as Shallow showed his all-round ability, taking 3 for 21; Colville Browne took 2 for 9 and Byron Mars â 2 for 13. Imperial triumphed by 121 runs.(RT)
