Davis outdid former head Goaland Greaves â 11-6, while Dillon Child beat Colbert Mc Donald â 11-5, to gain the post of vice-president. Mc Donald though, ousted Maria Abbott 10-7 for the position of secretary-treasurer.
Abbott got the nod over Robert Etienne as assistant secretary-treasurer, after both had tied with nine votes each.
Presiding over the process was Gary White, who had the casting vote, hence Abbottâs election to the post. The PRO is Selwyn Allen, elected unopposed, with Ivan Eddie Williams and Deighton Butler the two committee members.
Davis, in his acceptance remarks, thanked those who supported him and projected that he will be building on the work of his predecessor, Greaves.
The new president also indicated that he will be tapping in on the knowledge of Greaves in making the transition as seamless as possible. The life of the current executive is two years, from 2015 to 2017.(RT)
