Midway Butchers – guaranteed to meet your expectations

At Midway Butchers, a meat shop which operates along the main road at Grand Gate, Lowmans Leeward, a guarantee is given that your expectations will be met.

The shop is owned and operated by professional butchers Richard and Joe Gibson, who opened the business in June, 2007.

After spending close to 40 years in the United Kingdom (UK), in 1999, the brothers, who originate from Campden Park, returned to SVG.

Joe and Richard, who followed in their father’s footsteps as butchers, received their training from Walls at Harlesden, and JH Dewhursts in the UK. During their four decades in the UK, the brothers

operated several butchering establishments, which they sold on their return home.

Midway Butchers specializes in traditional sausages, beef burgers, specialized cuts of meat, beef, pork and lamb.

Their beef burgers are 100 per cent beef, are seasoned with local seasonings and contain zero preservatives or fillers.

The brothers also say one of the key features of their business is the provision of boneless meat. As part of their training, they had to study and understand animal anatomy, and in a few minutes can dissect a chunk of meat from its bone without splintering the bones, as some local butchers do.
