Port Workers receive Back Pay

Workers at the existing Kingstown Port have received a year’s back pay just a few weeks ahead of their transfer to new facilities in the new port at Rose Place, Kingstown.

Prime Minister, Dr Ralph Gonsalves, said on Monday, October, 6, 2025 that 250 employees at the port had received back pay amounting to just under $2-million. He was speaking at the signing ceremony for and agreement between the Government of St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG)and Sandals Resorts International for the construction of a $500 million Sandals Beaches Resort at Mt Wynne.
