LIME has Boot Camp in Bequia

LIME, this country’s leading telecommunications provider, and the company voted as the Best in Community, took Summer Boot Camp to four rural areas across the country during the month of August.{{more}}

Summer Boot Camp is an extension of the Internet Summer School initiative which started several years ago to bring children aged 7 years to 18 years into the LIME classrooms to teach them about the Internet. This year, the LIME team included technicians and Life Style Consultants. The team repaired outstanding faults in the areas and Lifestyle Consultants gave ideas as to how customers can save on their telecommunications cost.

“LIME Summer Bootcamp is a programme whereby our technicians, CSRs and lecturers take to the community and interact with customers, students and customers and give advice on ways to save on telecommunications cost. Getting the students introduced to the Internet is also one of our objectives and the students of the Bequia Anglican School and the kids in the other areas were excited about Bootcamp. This just goes to show our continued commitment to serve our community”, said Leslie Jack, VP Retail Sales and Services.

LIME Bootcamp visited Chateaubelair, Questelles, San Souci and Bequia during the summer. Over three hundred children took advantage of the opportunities offered over the period and several faulty lines were repaired. Bootcamp is expected to be a big hit next summer and the telecommunications company plans to take the show to many more communities across the island.
