According to a release from the National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission, the companies have already started discussions on a new agreement that will guide the rates for these calls over the next five years. “This new agreement when reached between the two companies will have to be approved by the NTRC before taking effect. There are a number of issues surrounding the reaching and approving of a new Interconnection agreement to be considered”, the release said.

The NTRC, noting the implications of such an agreement on the general public, many of whom are customers of these two companies, will be holding a public forum at the Peace Memorial Hall from 9:30 am – 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday May 28, 2008.
