Consecration tomorrow

Reverend Canon C. Leopold Friday, Bishop-Elect, will be consecrated tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. as the next Bishop of the Windward Islands.

Canon Friday will be the first Vincentian to be elected Bishop in the Anglican Church. The 48-year-old priest was ordained Deacon on 16th December 1984 and became a priest on 15th December 1985. {{more}}

He is married and the father of three girls. Canon Friday’s last assignment was as Rector of St. George’s, Grenada.

The Bishop-Elect holds a B.A. in Theology from the University of the West Indies and a M.A. in Theology from the Episcopal Divinity School in the United States of America.

The consecration will take place at St. George’s Cathedral in Kingstown. The sermon at the consecration will be delivered by the Reverend Isaiah Phillip of St. Kitts and Nevis. A service of enthronement will also take place in the Cathedral on Sunday at 3:00 p.m
