New Police Officers pledge to serve with courage, discipline and integrity
A total of 113 police recruits gathered at the Arnos Vale Playing field last Friday, October, 3,2025, for the Passing Out Parade.
The 42nd cohort of recruits, having completed six months of rigorous training, were joined by hundreds of family members and friends for the event.
Governor General, Dame Susan Dougan, Deputy Prime Minister, Montgomery Daniel; and Commissioner of Police, Enville Williams were among those at the parade which, for the first time, was held at the Arnos Vale venue. Presenting the opening address Commander of the SVG Coast Guard Service, Lieutenant William Theobalds, referred to the occasion as both the conclusion of one chapter and the start of another. Theobalds, who served as training officer, reminded the trainees that a career in law enforcement requires not only bodily endurance but also ethical integrity.
“Knowledge is more than authority, it is understanding the law you uphold and the people you serve”, he said.
