Fessale appeared at the Serious Offences Court on Friday and pleaded guilty to entering the state without a passport and for wilfully allowing himself to land as a prohibited immigrant, on November 29, 2014.

He pleaded guilty to both charges and was fined $500 for both charges to be paid forthwith or spend three months in prison.

The facts are that police went to the home of Roy Fredericks of Belair to execute a search warrant.

Fessale was met there and told officers that he had arrived in the state three weeks before by boat.

He added that he was a fisherman and that he arrived in Barrouallie on November 29 to purchase black fish and decided to remain in the country.(KW)
